East Frederick, a 2,200 acre area that includes Frederick Municipal Airport and Riverside Research Park, is primed to attract considerable private investment over the next decade—including the construction of Downtown’s first full-service hotel & conference center, the development & tenanting of prominent properties along the recently extended Carroll Creek Park, the residential development of Renn Farm, and the creation of a new 75-acre urban park. Concurrent infrastructure improvements are critical to manage and sustain this growth.
Project Work Includes:
Construction of a public parking structure on the site of the Downtown Hotel & Conference Center
Installation of the East Street ‘Rails withTrails’
Extension of the Shared Use Path to the Monocacy River
Runway expansion and facility improvements at Frederick Municipal Airport
Construction of new road and bridge along Monocacy Boulevard to accommodate four lanes of traffic
