News Release from Frederick County Government - Division of Emergency Management
FREDERICK, MD – The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) will provide disaster assistance in the form of low-interest loans to homeowners, renters, businesses, non-profits and co-ops, who apply and qualify. These loans can be used to repair or replace real estate, personal property including vehicles, inventory, equipment and more. If your loan is approved, you may also be eligible for additional funding towards the cost of improvements to protect your property against future damages from a similar disaster.
“Frederick County residents and businesses can benefit from the SBA loan program in large part because of citizens’ willingness to complete our damage assessment survey,” said County Executive Jan Gardner. “Information gathered from the surveys allowed the Division of Emergency Management and our state and federal partners to determine the scope of damage caused by heavy May rains.”
