Last month, the Golden Mile Alliance celebrated 10 years of helping Frederick shine.

The Golden Mile Alliance was formed in 2012 as an independent non-profit dedicated to the revitalization of the Route 40 corridor. Governor Hogan Announces Maryland Manufacturing 4.0 Grant Program

Governor Larry Hogan has announced the launch of the Maryland Manufacturing 4.0 grant program, a new Maryland Department of Commerce initiative that provides grants to small and mid-sized Maryland manufacturers to invest in Industry 4.0 technologies to modernize their operations. This pilot program is funded by $1 million in the fiscal year 2023 budget, which focuses on continuing the state’s strong economic recovery.

New Spire Arts Plans Next Act Joining With Weinberg Center For The Arts

The Mayor and Board of Alderman of the City of Frederick signed an agreement Thursday night between the City and the Ausherman Family Foundation, handing operations of New Spire Arts Stages over to the City of Frederick. New Spire Arts is transferring assets to the City and dissolving as a non-profit entity to make way for this new and exciting next act. The black box theater, located in Frederick’s Theater District at 15 West Patrick Street, is housed in the iconic downtown building formerly home to McCrory’s Five and Dime.
