On July 26, the 2018 Frederick County Best Places to Work event was held at the Delaplaine Visual Arts Education Center in Frederick. The annual awards program is hosted through a partnership of Frederick County Workforce Services, the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce, The Frederick County Office of Economic Development and the City of Frederick's Department of Economic Development to celebrate the positive impact local businesses make in the lives of their employees.
In the competitive award, nominations are scored based on the employers' work-life balance, median salary, turnover rate, benefits, diversity, and professional growth opportunities.
Immersion Active (HI Innovation LLC) - a downtown marketing firm with a focus on communicating with senior audiences - was awarded Best Place to Work in the Small-Medium Employer Category. The honor came in recognition of their outstanding commitment to work/life balance -- which includes unlimited paid time off.
