Nominations Open for Frederick County Best Places to Work

Nominations are now open for the 2021 “Virtual” Frederick County Best Places to Work Awards!

Share with us why your Frederick company should be crowned for its efforts to be a great place to work. We spend hours with our work families - we want to know what is special and unique about your company and its work family!

Any Frederick County business may be nominated by completing a three-question online form. Nominations will be accepted from now through April 30, 2021. Winners will be announced in the August issue of Frederick Magazine as well as online and other platforms.

Companies are evaluated on a variety of criteria, including:

  • employee compensation & benefits

  • business culture

  • human resource metrics

  • special employee engagement programs

To support the review of nominations, additional information will be requested from the company’s Human Resources Department or Senior Leadership (must be provided by April 30, 2021). Applicants are encouraged to coordinate with their Human Resources Manager or other leadership staff to ensure the application has all relevant and up-to-date requested data included. Only one nomination form per company is needed.

Winners will be named in the following categories:

  • Small Employer (1-10 employees)

  • Medium Employer (11-29 and 30-50 employees)

  • Large Employer (51-200 employees)

  • Major Employer (200+ employees).

Beyond the five major category winners, additional companies may be highlighted, showcasing unique and special efforts as we head into the new ‘normal’.

The Frederick County Best Places to Work Awards campaign is a countywide program in its 19th year that aims to increase quality of life opportunities for people who work in Frederick County.

Best Places to Work Awards is a partnership among Frederick County Workforce Services, The City of Frederick Department of Economic Development, Frederick County Office of Economic Development, and Frederick County Chamber of Commerce.
