Looking for a strategic location to base your aircraft?
Late last month, the City of Frederick issued a RFP formally soliciting bids for the land lease and development of a corporate hangar site at Frederick Municipal Airport (FDK).
Located at the intersection of Interstates I-70 and I-270, FDK rests less than an hour from both Baltimore and Washington, D.C., and mere minutes from Downtown Frederick. The strategic position of the full-service reliever airport offers easy access to three powerful economic hubs, while capturing low fueling & service costs and remaining outside the entanglements of the D.C. Special Flight Rules Areas. These competitive advantages have already attracted over 350 businesses to FDK on an annual basis. By 2020, the airport’s runway length will be increased to 5820’, allowing the facility to fully support larger executive jets.
The recently released RFP offers a business the opportunity to base aircraft in a privately-constructed hangar on this well-positioned and rapidly developing facility.
The 1.03 acre land lease is offered with multiple contract period options. More information is available on the airport’s Hangar Network listing: https://www.hangarnetwork.com/Listing_1134 and the City’s RFP is viewable at http://www.cityoffrederick.com/bids.aspx?bidID=177.
Attendance at one of two site tour meetings is mandatory to submit a proposal. Tours & meetings will be held: March 29, 2018 at 1pm - AND - April 3, 2018 at 1pm.
Submissions must be received by April 27, 2018, 3 PM.
