Downtown Hotel Project Secures Key Funding

The long planned Downtown Hotel project which has been delayed due to impacts of the COVID Pandemic on the hospitality industry, is shifting gears and moving forward as a $2.52 million dollar portion of the funding needed for development site acquisition was recently secured by action of the Frederick County Council and Frederick Board of Aldermen.

Proposed as a full-service Marriott branded hotel, the project will serve as an economic anchor along Carroll Creek - providing new downtown lodging options, stimulating local spending, and attracting future private investment to the area.
