Justice Jobs is a Frederick-based organization specifically focused on helping individuals experiencing barriers to employment to forge a positive path forward. We caught up with Bob Clegg , the Executive Director of the organization, to discuss the organization’s mission and the opportunities he sees in Frederick’s workforce.
Our partners at Frederick County Workforce Services (FCWS) are dedicated to linking businesses in need of qualified employees with individuals seeking employment opportunities. The FCWS Business Team works closely with local companies on job postings and promotion, recruitment and retention solutions, pipeline development, training programs, labor market information, and workforce education.
Five Frederick area businesses were recognized for the 2021 Annual Best Places to Work awards on August 3. More than 100 nominations were submitted, and 5 companies rose to the top with unique twists on remote working, employee training and recognition, employee compensation and benefits, business culture, human resource metrics, special employee engagement programs, and special efforts as we manage the new ‘normal’ of work.
Not all careers start in a college classroom. Many Frederick employers offer opportunities for entry-level workers with no related work experience or education.
