The FCWS Business Team works closely with local companies on job postings and promotion, recruitment and retention solutions, pipeline development, training programs, labor market information, and workforce education.
Five Frederick area businesses were recognized for the 2021 Annual Best Places to Work awards on August 3. More than 100 nominations were submitted, and 5 companies rose to the top with unique twists on remote working, employee training and recognition, employee compensation and benefits, business culture, human resource metrics, special employee engagement programs, and special efforts as we manage the new ‘normal’ of work.
Not all careers start in a college classroom. Many Frederick employers offer opportunities for entry-level workers with no related work experience or education. Through on-the-job training, certifications, and mentorship programs, these employers offer not just a job, but also access to a fulfilling career pathway.
