Frederick has changed dramatically in the last 20 years -- from a small sleepy town to the second largest city in the State. The City of Frederick now stands as the third point in a powerful economic triangle that traces to D.C. and Baltimore.

Entrepreneurs are encouraged to imagine the next chapter for these stately buildings -  capturing  the charm of yesteryear and determining the building’s place in the modern economy. 

Today a ribbon cutting ceremony officially celebrated the re-tenanting of a well-known office building on the north-end of the City. The building will serve as the new home of the Frederick County Department of Social Services. 

The new Walmart Supercenter opened at 2421 Monocacy Blvd. on January 25, 2017. It will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It is approximately 187,000 square feet and has a full-service pharmacy with drive-through window and groceries.
