On January 30th, The City of Frederick's Department of Economic Development hosted "Frederick Day in Annapolis" - an annual event that allows local community representatives an opportunity to say thank you for past state investments, as well as provide critical information on upcoming projects.

Priority Project: MD 180 Corridor Improvements
The City, the SHA, Frederick County and AstraZeneca have partnered to improve the MD180 Corridor. The investment will facilitate safer pedestrian & vehicular transportation, provide alternative routes across a more dispersed grid, and support more efficient movement of people & goods through an important economic corridor.
Priority Project: East Frederick Infrastructure
East Frederick, a 2,200 acre area that includes Frederick Municipal Airport and Riverside Research Park, is primed to attract considerable private investment over the next decade. Concurrent infrastructure improvements are critical to manage and sustain this growth.
Priority Project: Culler Lake Phase II
A recent joint effort by ‘Friends of Baker Park,’ and local, county, & state agencies improved the storm water management utility of Culler Lake. A second phase to provide recreational opportunities, enhance the aesthetic character, and develop educational markers within the surrounding park area is now planned.
